I’m Katy, a Texas-based film producer, photographer, and occasional writer and graphic designer. I have a passion for conservation and visual storytelling, focusing on the use of creative outlets as a tool to advocate for connection with and protection of natural environments and wildlife. I grew up in the piney woods of deep East Texas, studied communications, journalism, and art at Texas A&M University, and now call Central Texas home.

I quickly became immersed in the field of environmental filmmaking after I began working with Fin and Fur Films in 2017. Since then, I’ve contributed to a variety of wildlife films as well as assisted with the writing and design of conservation-focused books. 

I enjoy spending time outside around home with my pup, working and learning in the ceramics studio, baking, reading, and exploring areas of western Texas and the U.S. with my parents’ old 35mm film camera always at the ready.
